Are you ready to commit to 30 minutes of exercise every day for a month? It’s not us who’s asking, but His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Last year, the sports loving Crown Prince of Dubai challenged us all to improve our health by signing up the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC).
Now the flagship fitness initiative returns bigger and more active than ever. Yep, DFC got swole. From 19th-October to 17th November, free fitness events will be flexing around the city to entice one million people of all ages and fitness levels to sign up to half-an-hour of daily activity for 30 days.
Last year’s event was pretty epic, with a two-hour yogathon at Safa Park and eight kilometre race through JLT to help nail Dubai’s claim as the world’s most active city.
From low-key walking to intense paddle board sessions, it’s going to be even more action-packed and entertaining this year. Weekend fitness carnivals will also take place, so all the family can get involved, try out new sports and improve their fitness levels.
More details are coming, but for now, you can sign up at www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com
