Inflatathon is a brand new obstacle course race that it pumps some serious fun into staying fit.
Created by the Dubai Sports Council, Inflatathon will blow up in Dubai on 23rd November. The obstacle course is a mere three to four kilometres, but it’s no walk in the park, especially as you can tackle it all dressed in an inflatable sumo or T-Rex suit.
(OK so technically, it takes place in Safa Park, so it is a walk – and run and climb – in the park. But don’t let that fool you – it’s an ‘air-raising’ and exhilarating challenge).
Inflatathon is about getting outside and getting those gains along with a truckload of lols. There are family heats and if you want to dial the level of difficulty up, or discover if it’s possible to sweat out of your eyeballs, go for a VIP ticket that includes the aforementioned dino outfit.
Whatever you’re wearing, take it on and you’ll find 10 obstacles to battle. These include the humbling hills of the seven-metre high Himalayas, Minesweeper, a minefield of pitfalls that need serious hopscotch skills and then, there’s the Equalizer. Does. What. It. Says. On. The. Tin.

Early bird prices start from AED 160 and are available until the 27th September. Head to Platinumlist for general admission, family packages and AED 400 VIP tickets (inflatable suits included).
You may have mastered Tough Mudder, smashed the Spartan Race and danced all over the challenges of Desert Warrior, but until you’ve climbed up a rope ladder dressed in an inflatable sumo suit, there’s still some obstacles you need to overcome.
Inflatathon. 23rd November, 8am and 1pm. Safa Park. Open to all ages.
