Roads in Dubai will close this week for an international cycling event.

Formerly known as the Dubai Tour, this year’s UAE Cycling Tour extends across the seven emirates. The seven-stage 140-rider tour starts in Abu Dhabi tomorrow (25th February) and ends in Dubai on Saturday (2nd March).
The initial Dubai segment kicks off on Wednesday (27th) from Palm Jumeirah and takes the riders via Al Qudra’s cycle track to finally end at Hatta Fort.
There will be two days of rolling hourly road closures around Dubai from 11am-4.55pm on Wednesday and 12.25pm-4.55pm on Saturday.
Wednesday, 27th February
The latter part of the race will see cyclists travelling via Academic City through Dubai’s picturesque Design District and into Mushrif Park. The event will then continue to Mamzar Beach and conclude at Citywalk.
Saturday, 2nd March
Cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures are expected to welcomes 20 teams from 15 countries for the UAE’s only cycling tour. The race will cover an impressive 1,000+ kilometres in seven days and is open to the public.
