Dress up as bright as you like for this fun yoga class in a bloom filled garden.
This weekend Dubai Miracle Garden is turning into an al fresco yoga studio, where families can take part in a one-hour group class.
The session on Saturday (16th March) will have you doing the downward dog in Disney Avenue, in front of giant floral versions of Mickey Mouse and his pals.
Instructors from Yoga Ashram in JLT will lead the class in the world’s largest natural flower garden, which is included in the usual admission charges. Don’t be late – it’s a 9.30am start and places are limited to first come with their yoga mat, first served.
Kids under eight and those who don’t want to join in have a whole lot of Disney-themed activities to keep them occupied – including a Mickey & Friends face painting, a ball pit and colouring in.
Once you’ve done bending and stretching, you’re free to explore the garden’s 72,000 square metre space of sculptures and designs. Disney fans need to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. These sculptures weight on average five tons each, with least 30,000 flowers and plants used for each character.
Fun fact – the 18-metre floral structure of Mickey not only celebrates the 90th anniversary of possibly the world’s most famous mouse but also earned Dubai Miracle Garden its third Guinness World Record.
Register at 9am for 9.30am start, Saturday, 16th March. Open to ages eight and up. Entrance fee AED 50, AED 40 for kids 12 and below, free for people with disabilities and children under two. www.dubaimiraclegarden.com
