Need an incentive to shed those post-summer kilos? Dubai Fitness Challenge is flexing on us again.
The annual exercise event, led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, motivates the people of Dubai to workout for 30 minutes a day for 30 days.
To make this as easy as possible, from 18th October-16th November, free fitness sessions will take place around the emirate.
Last year 1,053,102 people joined in with everything from football and cycling to walking and yoga. As usual, if you sign up, you can log your performance on the free Dubai Fitness App to compete with workmates and friends, or simply hit personal goals.
As the challenge returns for a third year, it’s aim is to make Dubai the most active, healthiest, and happiest city in the world. Last year people who stepped up to the challenge reported drinking more water, sleeping for longer and, obviously, working up a sweat.
Free. Friday, 18th October to Saturday, 16th November. www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com
