Dig, if you will, a picture of a home away from home where soothing Fairouz songs play and traditional Lebanese dishes are prepared with love.
Villa Beirut serves comfort food just like ‘teta’ used to make and it’s now open in Jumeirah. Whether you call Beirut home or you’re simply a keen connoisseur of the Levantine-style of cooking, here’s the chance to taste the most authentic dishes, from succulent kebabs to juicy shish tawook.
What’s in a name? The idea of Villa Beirut began with a hope and vision of a Lebanese girl named Dalia who grew up watching her mother prepare traditional Lebanese delicacies in the suburbs of Beirut. She worked tirelessly to learn the art of preparing authentic homestyle cuisine and in 1940, Dalia, along with her husband, opened a small unassuming restaurant in an old house on the outskirts of the Lebanese capital.
Today Dalia’s dishes live on at Villa Beirut, including signature plate, Moutabal Dalia. One lucky reader can enjoy the secret recipes handed down through the family as a tribute to her memory. We have a AED 500 voucher that’s redeemable at Villa Beirut’s Jumeirah branch, where visitors aren’t just served a meal, but a nostalgic trip.
