Long’s Bar at the Towers Rotana Hotel is a Dubai institution. It’s a buzzing atmosphere-packed British pub, with – as the name suggests – a really long bar
The longest one in the Middle East in fact. To keep things fresh for 2019, they’ve completely revamped, updated and upgraded their menu, with some delicious additions.
Enter authentic seaside style fish and chips, a whole swathe of European meat based wonderstuff and some stars from the international foodie scene. The spicy mini “Islak” beef sliders look absolutely incredible and the beef-bacon packed dream burger in the featured image for this post is the reason we had to write the competition intro three times. We’ve got a AED 500 voucher for one lucky person (reading this sentence right now), to try out the food and beverages on the menu. That’s a thorough road testing, and you don’t even have to bring any friends, you can keep it all for yourself if you like. Nobody would blame you. Eating your way through the menu could be your own delicious Everest.
Towers Rotana is within easy ambling distance of Financial Centre metro station. It offers one of the best value Friday brunches around (12pm-4pm, AED 199 for house beverages, get in) which includes traditional roasts. Just saying.
If you don’t win today’s competition, the glorious news is that to celebrate the launch of the new food offering there’s 25 per cent off on lunchtime dining (1pm-4pm) until the 28th February 2019. So you sort of win anyway. The live band will still be there on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 9pm and 12 am. They still have their 20 screens of sports watching opportunity. It’s a bar that’s so British, there’s a 100 per cent chance it knows what a crumpet is.
Thanks to all those that took part, this comp is now closed. Our lucky winner was: Jacqueline Craig
