Win: Two tickets to February’s Groove on the Grass festival (CLOSED)

UNDERWORLD

We’re giving away two tickets to Groove on the Grass, the UAE’s homegrown music festival, headlined by Underworld

One of the UK’s favourite long-serving dance music acts, Underworld are coming to  Emirates Golf Club on the 8th February, for a Dubai début at Groove on the Grass. We have two tickets, worth AED 295 each, to give away.

Underworld are probably best known for their anthemic 1995 hit, ‘Born Slippy.NUXX,’ which rocked the warehouses and nightclubs of the British rave scene. The song went on to feature in one of the era’s most memorable cult movies, Trainspotting – and its chanting lyrics ‘MEGA, MEGA, WHITE THING’ became fixed in the minds of an entire generation.

Trainspotting

Groove on the grass already feels like Dubai’s own mini Glasto, and with a headliner like Underworld, revellers in Dubai will get a taste of how the legendary British summertime festival closed out back in its late 90s heyday.

***BREAKING NEWS***

The progressive house and techno artists will be joined by an amazing cast of similar era, huge name electro beatsmiths – Leftfield, the creators of speaker-quaking tracks ‘Phat Planet’ and ‘Open Up’ and Radio Slave, deft bootlegger and remix master. Monoloc and Sebastian Mullaert finish off a line-up that is Berlin nightclub, nuanced techno of the highest purity.

Groove attendees will also get to explore the carnival vibes of the pop-up shops and interactive installations. It’s the full bohemian festival vibe on the grounds of a golf course in the middle of one of the world’s most technologically advanced cities. That’s pretty cool and we can’t wait.
