Today’s competition prize is two VIP tickets to the emirate’s favourite food festival, Taste of Dubai.
The culinary carnival returns to the Media City Amphitheatre from the 7th-9th March, and the winner will be able to choose which day they wish to attend. The al fresco festival checklist is well-ticked, with some incredible live music, family entertainment and big-name celebrity chefs.
Obviously one of the main reasons to head to the show is the food. It is potentially the nation’s greatest cheat day. Taste of Dubai takes your palate on an off-road safari, through some seriously big flavour country. There’ll be 20 of Dubai’s finest restaurants, assembled all in one place, each serving up their own signature tasting plates.
Wander leisurely through accomplished dishes from Gordan Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, experience exceptional Japanese-Arabian flavour combinations at Nobu and spin some authentic Mediterranean cuisine round your fork, straight from the creative fires of Gia, Couqley and GO! Greek. There’s even a pop-up preview of the new Masterchef-themed restaurant coming to Dubai very soon.
Parents, we advise you to start stretching out those embarrassing dad and mum dancing muscles. The organisers have crammed three days of amazing music into the schedule, with 80s pop royalty, Tony Hadley headlining the event on Thursday. The weekend’s other talented beatsmiths include 4THEMUSIC, Sam Tring and Mark Zitti ei Fratelli Coltelli. It’s the perfect soundtrack for three full days of sun-soaked maximum chill and epicurean indulgence.
The line up of culinary big hitters is equally impressive – Matt Preston from Australian Masterchef will oversee a ‘Mystery Box Challenge’ on 9th March. The list of attending chefs reads like some sort of fantasy food dream team, Masaharu Morimoto, David Myers, Simon Rimmer, Eric Lanlard, Nick & Scott, Mohammad Orfali and more. They’re here to take part in professional cooking demonstrations, culinary challenges and judge amateur chef competitions.
There’s a whole OMO Kid’s Zone devoted to distracting the little ones long enough for you to eat your five-star sampling platters in peace and kids under 12 go free.
Advanced tickets for adults start at AED 80 (AED 150 for Thursday, 7th March), with VIP tickets from AED 255. Ticket prices on the door will be more. Book yours now at www.tasteofdubaifestival.com.
For a chance at winning two VIP tickets to any day at Taste of Dubai 2019, answer the following question correctly by 4th March.
