In today’s competition, two separate winners will be pocketing AED 250 vouchers to spend at one of Dubai’s most exciting, creative gastro cafes – Nightjar.
Seated lotus-like amongst the artistic reverie of Alserkal Avenue’s art galleries, Nightjar occupies the perfect spot for an artisanal eatery and coffee roastery. It’s a little shop of crafty gastronomy, built on exceptional coffee blends and expert pouring rituals, bubbling with poetic Melbournian street style.
The menu is packed with a comprehensive range of honest modern, international bistro flavours. There are all day breakfast plates like avo toast (with egg, feta and cherry tomatoes AED 52) and weekend specials like Devon crab omelette (AED 50). We’re fond of the house-cured salt beef sandwiches (AED 45). There’s roast chicken (AED 55 for half chicken and gravy) or beef striploin with chimichurri (AED 85), if you’re looking for those big Sunday meal vibes.
There’s a pleasantly hench stack of sweet eats (the face-burying custard pie is just AED 25) and gourmet vegetarian/vegan options too – get a portion of rotisserie cauliflower for AED 38, a super grain salad for AED 36, or an eggplant crumb roll-up for AED 30.
Do you know how we know they love coffee? Nightjar’s bearded coffee wizards roast their covetous beans on-site, and offer a dizzying collection of caffeinated concoctions. Sip hot and cool brews, nitro-infusions and blended beverages that are straight-up connoisseur quality.
Nightjar is a venue to gather in, a conversation starter, a hang pad with a vintage vinyl collection. There’s dining and drink deals all week long and are open from the ‘crack of sparrows,’ 8am… erry day. Even at the weekend where you can (bleary-eyed) get hold of the special ‘early brekkie’ ensemble. Hoover up a classic avo toast, a glass of fresh orange juice, and a manual brew for AED 85.
