This Thursday, one of the biggest names in Scottish music, Deacon Blue will be taking to the stage at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium for a night packed with nostalgic smash hits.
Their honey-dipped harmonies and sing-along choruses made them one of Brit pop’s stand out success stories of the 80s and 90s, but Deacon Blue are still making hits and touring to this very day.
Which brings us to the excellent news that Dubai will be hosting them this Thursday evening, for a one-night-only concert at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, in partnership with neighbours The Irish Village.
And guess who’s got tickets. Four of them in fact. Temporarily, of course because we’ll be handing two over to two of you lucky individuals.
Unless you’ve spent your entire existence living in the cold, soundless vacuum of space, you’ll recognise the Glaswegian band’s all-time classic ‘Real Gone Kid’ (below). But their discography features so many more classics – ‘Dignity,’ ‘Fergus Sings The Blues,’ ‘When Will You’ and ‘Loaded,’ to name a handful.
But because the concert takes place at 7pm on Thursday 14th November, we’ve only got until Wednesday to give away the tickets.
If you’d like to secure your tickets now, you can for the very reasonable sum of AED 175 per person at www.theirishvillage.com.
This competition has now closed. Thanks to all those that entered. The winners were: Sarah Buckingham and Neil Mcintyre who each get two tickets.
