Summer isn’t quite over, but we’ve found a low cost way to see out the last of the humid days in style at City Centre Deira.

City Centre Deira (CCD) is bringing fun inside the mall, because you can’t stop us from making the best of life in Dubai, even over the hotter months.
Find 1,300 square-metre pop-up Indoors on the second floor of the mall, next to Sharaf DG. It’s fun little oasis that parents specially will love, with food stalls, a gaming zone and a few gift shops. Eating options range from burgers (like these delicious bites from 25″55 – the latitude and longitude of Dubai, FYI) to saj bread, from chaat to boba bubble tea, from cheese wheel pasta to gourmet ice cream (you must try the amazing carrot cake flavour).
Entry is free and the food is decently priced (expect to spend between AED 50-AED 100) so it’s an affordable break from pounding the shops. We love the gaming zone, as it has a lot of options for kids of all ages, like air hockey, basketball and racing games. You need to pay to play and prices differ for each game.
What won’t cost you a fil are movie screenings and live entertainment. These start in the afternoons and are all age-appropriate for littles ones. Here’s a full schedule with timings.
For us, the food trucks were definitely the highlight, with a special mention for the tea stall run by the ever-popular karak empire that is Filli Café. Go for a wander, grab a bite, shoot a few hoops and soon it will be time to get back outdoors again!
10am-10pm weekdays and 12am on weekends, until 31st December. Free to enter. Next to Sharaf DG, Level Two, City Centre Deira.
