Parents, if you’re already tearing your hair over how to keep the kids amused for the summer, Modhesh is here to save the day.
Indoor entertainment extravaganza Modhesh World is at Dubai World Trade Centre until 17th August.
It’s totally free to enter the five air-conditioned halls, which are packed with pop-up games and rides for kids aged big to little.
More than 100 activities and attractions are spread across four themed zones – The Wheels, Arcadium, Little Adventure and Showtime. They’re pay as you go, with different packages available for weekdays and weekends – you can check prices here.
Bigger kids will love The Wheels Zone in halls six to seven, where they can try out the bungee trampoline, ice rink, drift bikes and 4×4 driving tracks.
Young gamers won’t be able to get enough of the Arcadium Zone in Hall seven. Play old school favourites like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, go for the top slicing score on Fruit Ninja or escape those evil monkeys on Temple Run. Take a seat on the Cinecoaster 360VR, the multi-dimensional cinema system that simulates a terrifyingly realistic roller coaster ride.
Kiddoes under seven can safely bounce, fly and spin on the soft play area and fairground rides in the Little Adventure Zone at halls three to four.
When it’s finally time to chill, take them to hall five for live entertainment from Modhesh and friends in the Showtime Zone, which is also home to enough food trucks to satisfy the biggest appetites.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), Modhesh World, with its distinctive yellow and mascot is now in its 20th year. That means some of the original Modhesh kids could be parents now. OK, we feel old.
