Well, if it’s good enough for Rihanna…(the Barbadian pop star apparently walked around NYC feeding pigeons because Rihanna).
Now Dubai’s Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) wants us all to feed the birds in Dubai.
As part of the Year of Giving, DEWA launched the Tyour Al Khair or Birds Are Good initiative. Check out their luxe VIP bird dining spot above.
If sprinkling seed for our feathered friends isn’t enough of an incentive, there’s also a creative competition to get behind.
Post a picture of your bird table on social media with the hashtag #Tyour_Al_khair_DEWA and the best effort will win a prize.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, says: “DEWA is keen to contribute effectively to environmental sustainability in Dubai, and as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed observed, ‘Every one of us can do good in our own environs. We can all make a real difference right where we are. The place where we live can always do with some charity work. We can clean the beaches or the deserts. We can take care of the trees. We can be kind to our fellow citizens.’”
