Time to watch moonlight movies at these outdoor cinemas

OUTDOOR CINEMA

There’s something about watching your favourite stars on screen, under the glow of the sky’s own stellar cast, that connects you with the REEL magic of cinema.

Dubai’s beautiful autumn temperatures and minimal rainfall creates an almost perfect climate for outdoor cinemas. So it’s only natural that each year we see a fine crop of al fresco screens springing up over the emirate. These are some of the best opportunities to catch fresh-air flicks…

The ultimate party destination becomes the ultimate outdoor movie destination. Zero Gravity is erecting a big screen, with Dubai Marina providing a suitably cinematic backdrop. If you’ve got the need, the need for kitsch 80s action movie nostalgia – you’re in luck because on Sunday (9th December) – Tom Cruise cult classic Top Gun is showing. Are you “filthy animals thirsty for more?” (don’t be a hater, it’s a quote). Later in the month, a festive special is cleverly scheduled on 23rd December – Home Alone! Beanbags and blankets are available, and an awesome menu of cinema snack classics – popcorn, chilli fries, chicken wings, nachos, shawarma, burgers and more.

AED 50 (which you get back as credit to spend on food). 8pm, 9th December: Top Gun, 23rd December: Home Alone. Zero Gravity, Dubai Marina, Skydive Dubai Drop Zone, Al Sufouh Road. 04 399 0009
