Stop everything – there’s now a dine-in cinema on The Palm

Reel Cinemas The Palm

Heads up, Palm dwellers – the island is finally getting its own cinema.

No more schlepping across to the city, as Emaar Entertainment announces that it’s brought Reel Cinema at The Pointe.

Open now, it’s a ’boutique cinema,’ meaning a small but perfectly formed five screens kitted out with the latest Barco’s laser projectors and Dolby Atmos surround sound, which can seat 268 people. What’s more, three of the five are dine-in, so your movie time can also be spent chowing down on a menu specially created by flamboyant American restaurateur, Guy Fieri. On top of your standard popcorn and snacks, visitors can treat themselves to the chef’s signature Trash Can Nachos, the award-winning (and possibly heart-stopping), Award Winning (Beef) Bacon Mac N Cheese Burger and finish with a Triple-Double Mint Pie.

If you can’t get enough of Mr Fieri’s tasty take on drive-in classics, his new 100-seater restaurant at The Pointe dishes out all-American comfort foods to all comers, not just cinema goers.

Reel Cinemas now has six cinemas in Dubai, including Guy Fieri’s dine-in offering at The Dubai Mall. Here guests can either pre-book a ticket for AED 50 and select their meals at the cinema, or pay AED 160 for a dine-in package that includes a starter and a main course each from a menu of six starters and six main courses. Everything comes straight to your seat and we can confirm it’s pretty scrumptious.

First announced in May 2018, you’ll find AED 800 million lifestyle destination The Pointe at the tip of artificial island The Palm. It’s set to have more than 100 waterfront restaurants and a 12,000 square metre fountain-scape with its own dancing centrepiece.
