Chival Global Social, Hotel La Ville, City Walk
How do you choose between turkeys? How do you know which restaurant to trust when preparing a meal that is, for many, one of the most important family gatherings of the year? The good news is the standard is consistently high with a lot of these outlets. Significantly higher, usually – than the dry old wall paper meat your Aunt Begonia used to slap onto your plate in childhood.
One way is to look at the side and desserts offered vs price. Chival comes out well here – stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, roasted honey-glazed carrots, buttered mashed potatoes, chestnuts, braised red cabbage, glazed Brussels sprouts and – perhaps as the delicious deal breaker- a chocolate Christmas log for afters.
