Galliard’s new menu launch conceptualised by chef Monserrato

It’s hard to believe that Galliard, located in downtown Dubai, can actually get any cooler and tastier… but it just did, and diners are now in for even more of a treat.

Galliard has just got a new chef, and clearly it is not just any old chef. Italian Monserrato Marni, who jetted into Dubai from Sardinia, has taken over the reins of this legendary venue’s kitchen, and is bringing with him years of experience that he has deftly woven into the fabric of this sought-after dining experience.

The move has been no mean feat, even for talented Monserrato.
The chef has had his work cut out to meet the high expectations of Dubai’s young, fine-dining crowd and, in the process, is keeping them on their culinary toes.

Cast an eye over the recently rolled-out menu and you’ll see where he has worked his magic. The menu bears all the hallmarks of Galliard and skillfully pays testament, not only to Monserrato’s talents as a chef but to what Galliard itself is known for throughout Dubai…fine fusion bites and hedonistic evenings.

Regulars to Galliard, which is located at the Address Downtown on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd, will be relieved to know that the hints of the Mediterranean - think Turkish and Italian fusion, with a touch of French – are still there. So is the spectacular backdrop of Burj Khalifa and those burnt-orange sunsets that cast an ambient light across the revelers gathered on the venue’s stunning terrace as they take in the latest sounds.

Galliard’s new menu follows suit and delivers tantalizing bites that perfectly echo the venue’s vibe of chilled-out coolness. The signature dishes of artichoke and avocado salad (AED 110) or a beef Carpaccio with truffle (AED 100) are a delight, as are the Mozzarella Milanese (AED 78) and pizza truffle (AED 164). Try the Pappardelle Veal Ragu (AED 145) or Spaghetti with Canadian Lobster, (AED 165) not forgetting the Wagyu Tantuni. (AED 175)

The desserts are equally as spectacular with to-die-for delights such as Alla Minute Ice Cream (yoghurt and pistachio) (AED 86/96) or Nutella Cheesecake (AED 68)…there are more of course.

Clearly, Galliard has managed to do what was thought impossible and taken its offering to an even higher level. The remarkable aspect in all of this, however, is how chef Monserrato has managed to add to the venue’s success yet effortlessly retain the venue’s true legacy that the regulars of Galliard return to time and time again.
