Vegan dining is increasing with more people either totally adopting a plant-based diet or adding vegan dishes alongside their regular meals. Restaurants are also offering more choice and adapting popular dishes to be vegan based. What more popular dish is there than a juicy burger? And how do these favourites become vegan options? From mushroom patties to beyond patties, and burgers with vegan cheeses and buns, there are a ton of options for you. Here is a round-up of some of Dubai’s favourite vegan burgers to try on a night out.
Vegan Me And Vegetari Anne At Bite Me Burger Co.
The Bite Me Burger Co. is now serving tempting mini burgers to Dubai foodies through its two delivery-only restaurants in Dubai Marina and Motor City, and one physical restaurant in DIFC. The menu with a wide variety of burgers also has two vegan options. Vegan Me has a patty made of chickpeas and different spices. It comes loaded with tahini sauce, onion, pickles and lettuce. The second option is Vegetari Anne (our personal favourite), and it consists of portobello mushroom, lettuce, onion, melted brie and garlic mayo. Prices start at Dhs 55 for two mini burgers.
The Impossible All-American Burger At Black Tap
The latest vegan burger at Black Tap tastes just like a beef burger. The taste is so fine that even your beef burger fan friends won’t be able to judge if they are eating a vegetarian burger or a beef one. Don’t believe us, take them to Black Tap and do not tell them that you have ordered a vegan burger. Reveal it once they finish eating. The burger with a meatless patty, cheese and a special sauce comes with a side of fries or salad. Priced at Dhs 105.
Vegan Burger At BOHO Studio One Hotel
Located in the newly opened Studio One Hotel, BOHO offers Middle Eastern cuisine with a contemporary twist to it. If there, try their brand new vegan burger on the menu. It contains a vegan burger patty, vegan mayonnaise, chipotle pepper, tomato slice, Lollo Rosso lettuce, onion, pickle, mango chutney packed inside a vegan burger bun, and comes with a side of sweet potato fries. Priced at Dhs 58.
Catch 22 has got a tempting deal with its newly launched vegan burger. Besides the popular alternative meaty patty, the burger comes loaded with a ton of other balanced flavours to treat your taste buds. The meatless patty has a texture and taste profile of a beef patty. Other ingredients such as vegan cheese, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, alfalfa sprouts, crispy sweet potato fries and creamy vegan chipotle mayo take the burger’s taste to the next delicious level. The burger is served with a side of thick-cut fries. Also, do not forget to order the famous selfie-coffee. Priced at
Vegan Lentil Burger At Kulture House
This vegan burger at this culture and travel inspired cafe, Kulture House on Jumeirah Road, does not promise any meat like taste, but does guarantee a feel good taste to savour. The patty is made up of mixed lentils, and is loaded with different spices, guacamole, cabbage slaw and house-made sauce. Priced at Dhs 40.
Head down to this cult burger joint that opened its doors in JLT only a year ago. The restaurant offers the Pickl. Beyond Burger which has the meat alternative patty, cheese, secret sauce, house pickles, potato bun and is priced at Dhs 35. Beyond Burger is the first plant-based burger that looks, cooks and satisfies so much like beef, replacing animal protein with plant-based proteins. Unlike a traditional veggie burger, this delectable patty’s “meat” is made entirely from plants. What’s special about the Pickl’s Beyond Burger is its secret sauce and of course, the house pickles.
Flipside Burgers At The Flipside Restobar
Dubai’s first vegan Resto Bar located in Century Village, Flipside Burgers comprises of a patty which is 100% plant-based alternate to meat, high in plant protein and formulated to look, cook and taste like meat. For vegetarians, there is mushroom with cheddar and beetroot burger in which the contrast between the mushroom and the beetroot splits apart the burger while the cheddar brings it together. Burgers are priced at Dhs 70 including fries or sweet potato. Vegan cheese is on offer as a replacement of cheeses for vegans. Complete the meal with either milk shakes or almond milk shakes priced between Dhs 24 and Dhs 26.
