If they’re not too busy catching them all, any true gamer will be heading to Hub Zero, the Middle East’s newly opened first indoor gaming hub.
Covering two floors, the 15,000 square metres gaming destination opened in CityWalk earlier this month – perfect for escaping the summer heat.
On the ground floor there’s a slew of 18 attractions, from first person shoot ’em ups to fantasy and sports games.
Upstairs pros and rookies can lose themselves in four huge gaming zones and for a trip down memory lane, there’s retro arcade with hits of yesteryear like Pac Man and Space Invaders.
Other highlights include a virtually reality zombie shoot out, which you might have seen premiering at this year’s Middle East Film & Comic Con, and some epic 3D immersion rides, like the sci-fi stalwart Final Fantasy – Escape from Midgar and the extra creepy Resident Evil.
As if you could ever get tired of gaming, but if you do there’s also a adventure climbing zone, private karaoke rooms and a 4D cinema.
Just like a video game, there are three different levels of to achieve (well, pay for). Rookies can enter the first floor and play one attraction, Masters have unlimited first-floor access, while hackers are AAA.
CityWalk, Sunday-Thursday: 12pm-12am. Friday and Saturday: 10am-12am. Admission – recruit pass: AED 106 , master pass: AED 210, hacker pass: AED 260. www.hubzerodubai.com
