The Outlet Village

White Friday fever has hit Dubai and more than 125 top brands are discounted at The Outlet Village. Hit up the retail space in Jebel Ali for a three-day super sale, which starts on Thursday. There is plenty of free parking and even complimentary shuttle buses from Dubai hotels – here’s a full schedule.

Eats meets West turkinator Roti Rollers

Celebrate American holiday Thanksgiving desi style with Roti Rollers. The casual diner in Dar Wasl Mall has locked and loaded tasty turkey tikka in a whole wheat roti with cranberry parsley chutney, potato crisps, parsley and an optional spice mix for daredevils. At AED 34, it’s a bargain way to get your festive fix.

For all the fun of the sales, but none of the crowd-based bustle. Jump online to the region’s favorite web retailers – many of whom are having their own Black or White Friday Sales. Elabelz.comSouq.com, Noon.com, Namshi.com are involved, so scoop the fashion, electronics and miscellaneous bargains from the sanctuary of an armchair.

Put the brakes on the Formula 1 – the party will be revving up at Beach Lounge, Jumeirah Beach Hotel. British DJ Marvin Humes, is on the decks for from 4pm for a live show with London radio station Capital FM. Entry is free and watching the sun set behind Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is priceless.

Beat Diabetes Walk on Nov 24 (1)

Actively against Diabetes

The Beat Diabetes Walk is happening this weekend. Participants are invited to gather at Dubai Creek Park (Gate 1) before the events begin. Dance classes, yoga and a bunch of other entertainment will be on offer to help raise awareness for the condition.

Bag a book Charity book sale

Replenish your book shelves for less and help others at the same time. The Books2Benefit Charity Book sale starts at Novotel Al Barsha on Friday and with 25,000 donated books, there’s bound to be a title or two that will hook even the most well-stocked bookworm. All proceeds go the Red Crescent.

Hours of indulgence Vivaldi

Go on a day-long gastronomic journey with an 11-hour brunch at Vivaldi by Alfredo Russo at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers. The eating extravaganza takes place from noon-11pm and includes 48 delectable dishes and free-flowing bubbles. Saturday, 25th November

Free cinema outside Ponyo

Grab a beanbag at Dubai Marina Mall and catch a beautifully animated Japanese fantasy about a goldfish princess. From the peerless Studio Ghibli, cute and quirky Ponyo will captivate kids of all ages, but seating at the outdoor venue is first come, first served, so don’t be late.
