Ordinary People, music maker John Legend is coming back to Dubai.
The 10-times Grammy-winning artist will return to Dubai to headline the 16th annual Emirates Airline Jazz Festival at Media City Amphitheatre on 22nd February.
Legend will be coming fresh off the back of touring to promote Darkness and Light, his fifth studio album. He’s twice before given the ‘Green Light’ to entertain the music lovers of Dubai and has been at the annual festival in 2008 and 2015.
The American singer-songwriter (and excellent piano player) has fired out instant classics R&B ballads since he stepped on to the scene in 2004, like the heartfelt ‘Ordinary People’.
He’s also a legend on Twitter, where he’s regularly #couplegoals with witty model wife Chrissy Teigen.
He will follow 80s pop-rock band Duran Duran, who open the three-day event on 21st February; hopefully with a fair smattering of chart topping hits like ‘Rio’ and ‘Girls on Film’. A third headliner for the last day of the festival is yet to be announced.
Early birds tickets for day two are on sale for 48 hours from 12pm, 11th December at www.dubaijazzfest.com. Tickets for day one start from AED 325 for general admission and AED 5,400 for a VIP table of four (with beverage package).
