Arabic pop star Diana Haddad is to perform live at City Walk on New Year’s Eve.
The Lebanese-born singer, who’s based in the UAE, will put on a special performance to ring in 2018 and entertain fans with her hits, which include ‘Yammya, ‘Mas & Louly’ and ‘La Fiesta’. Singing from a purpose-built stage by gaming space Hub Zero from 10.30pm, Haddad will take revellers into the New Year’s Eve countdown, before performing her grand finale after midnight.
No tickets are needed for the event, which is completely free to attend. Combined with Haddad’s star status, it means City Walk is likely to get VERY busy, so be sure to get there early.
Although there’ll definitely be plenty of good cheer when the countdown to 2018 begins, there won’t be fireworks at the show and Meraas, the company that owns City Walk, will also not be putting on fireworks displays at sister destinations The Beach, JBR, and La Mer.
This comes after news that a futuristic laser show will replace the traditional fireworks at the Burj Khalifa on New Year’s Eve.
However Meraas has fixed it for firework displays to take place at The Beach, JBR, every Thursday and Friday from 9.30pm throughout Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), starting 26th December, with the grand firework finale on 27th January.
