Movie night with Bay
Head out to Business Bay’s Bay Square to celebrate the New Year with everything from jazz shows to stiltwalkers and a special screening of the feel-good movie New Year’s Eve. Catch a bus or grab a taxi from Business Bay Metro Station.

Feast and Fireworks
See the year off with a bang at Dubai Festival City Mall’s spectacular celebration of the New Year. There’ll be four free shows across the evening, as well as breathtaking fire and water show Imagine. The prime viewing spot has to at the top of this new Ferris wheel – tickets for that are AED 40 for adults and AED 25 for kids.
Dubai Festival City Mall shows are at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm and a grand finale at midnight to welcome 2018! Entertainment starts at 7pm.
Dance your way into 2018 with the sounds of DJ Klingande. The French disc spinner will bring uplifting house to hip new venue Soho Garden, where four bars serve a variety of beverages and the international menu is inspired by Mediterranean dishes.

Walk the walk
Take a stroll through City Walk, where the street art and London-inspired backdrops make for some majorly Instagram-worthy shots. Peckish? Dive into one of the many sidewalk cafés and restaurants. Some have set menus, but other, like The Brass Coffee Community, will happily serve coffee and cakes that cost less than AED 100.

On the road to RAK
End 2017 with a road trip to the gorgeous Al Marjan Island in RAK to see dance music duo Hollaphonic and what could be a world record-breaking display of fireworks. Wear white for a free beverage!

Jebel Ali Recreation Club, one of Dubai’s oldest venues, certainly knows how to throw a party. All the restaurants at the club have special NYE packages – AED 201.8 will get you unlimited soft drinks and a three-course set menu at C House Milano, or browse the buffet with free-flowing beverages in hand at Seafood Kitchen. A vibrant pop band will keep guests entertained with lively beats from 8pm to 10pm, followed by a DJ set.
