Sunday, 7th January

Ibn the mall

Ibn Battuta Mall - China Court

Trekking round malls in Dubai can feel like an epic adventure, but at Ibn Battuta Mall, shoppers can actually take part in a travel game based on the journeys of the titular Arab explorer. From the India Court, ‘voyage’ around the mall’s six courts, get a glimpse into his fascinating voyage of discovery and win instant prizes.

Tempura

National Tempura Day is marked every 7th January, so it’s a serendipitous time to book a table at ultra trendy Katsuya By Starck and get behind the deep-fried tastiness of the Japanese dish. Choose from crispy corn, rock shrimp and more, starting from AED 45, as well as tons of other great stuff to eat.

Monday, 8th January

Bamboo Monday

Bamboo Lagoon at JW Marriott in Deira

Hone your chopstick skills with a feast of all-you-can-eat sushi, served direct to your table in the Bamboo Lagoon at JW Marriott in Deira. DIFF 365@VOX Newton

DIFF 365@VOX continues a season of entertaining independent cinema with Indian Oscar nomination Newton. This charming take on political satire stars Newton Kumar (Rajkummar Rao) as a rookie government clerk sent on election duty against formidable odds.
