Dragon Mart _Chinese New Year wonderland

Obviously Dubai’s own Chinese retail ambassador Dragon Mart has gone all out for Chinese New Year. Expect comprehensive entertainment itineraries, lavish takes on traditional lighting displays, prize draws and a cabaret of colourful costumes.

Chaotic scenes

Impact hub Dubai and w2w events are hosting a session for budding cinematographers in Dubai. The free-to-join talk, led by film-maker Kalyan Chakravarthy, is called ‘Creativity out of Chaos’ and aims to provide a little structure and guidance to the passion and enthusiasm of aspiring amateurs.

Rap Français

French rapper Booba is the next hip hop luminary to strut the stage at Cavalli Club. The controversial lyricist gained popularity because of the tightness of his flow, and arrives in Dubai fresh from the release of his double platinum selling album, Trone (2017).

Enda’s game

Danú Dubai’s production of Enda Walsh’s play New Electric Ballroom is coming to the Courtyard Playhouse. The dark comedy tells the story of three shut-in sisters living in a remote part of Ireland, reliving past stories and glories, including a disastrous trip to their local nightclub, The New Electric Ballroom.
