Leena Kewlani is an artist whose work is most neatly described as abstract impressionism. Her inspiration comes from her passion for journeying and adventure. Some of Kewlani’s bright, positive and irresistibly engaging master works are on display in Dubai now, and the exhibition is free to attend.

Where’s volley? 

Sunday night at 8pm, Emirates International School. Sorry fellas, tonight is ladies only. And women, make sure you remember the five Vs of Volleyball: Velocity, Vie, V-formation, Vacillate and Vie. From floor crawl to front crawl

There’s a parent and toddler swim class at the Park Inn Hotel Motor City on Tuesdays and Saturdays, hosted by L.S. Swimming Academy. The aim is to help your little water babies become confident swimmers. The classes are led by experts and the parent interaction in the pool provides the perfect environment for the toddlers to kick off on the right foot.  They also have classes for babies too.

Van Gogh

Starry, starry light

The incredible Van Gogh Alive exhibition comes to a close on 23rd April and if you haven’t seen it, it’s a must. At AED 65 it’s great value for a gallery experience, quite unlike any other in Dubai, huge canvasses are painted with the artists most famous works using projected light. The pictures combine to tell the moving story of the troubled artists all too short life.
