Great egg-stacked-ations

Eggspectation is turning 25 this year. And to celebrate, they are launching a challenge of gastronomically gladiatorial proportions. Diners in teams of up to four people are invited to take on a stack of 25 pancakes. If you manage to stand victorious, empty of plate and full of stomach within 25 minutes, the Emperor’s thumb flips upwards and you get it for free. Are you not egg-tertained?

AED 98. 7am-12am. Eggspectation, The Walk, JBR (04 430 7252) and City Walk (04 240 6877 ).

It’s often said that laughter is the best medicine, it’s not of course – antibiotics are probably slightly better for fighting bacterial infections, for example. In terms of fighting off a nasty case of ‘the negs,’ laughter is right up there with the best cure-alls. And you can get it for free from comedy students and seasoned stars at Dubomedy’s stand up show this Sunday.

Free. From 8pm. Warehouse Four in Al Quoz near Tom & Serg’s and LED World. www.warehousefour.com
