Fireworks will be popping off at Dubai Festival City Mall for Eid.
Eid Al Adha dates are yet to be confirmed (they’re dependent on the sighting of the moon) but we can reveal what the mall has planned for the holiday.
Outside at Festival Bay, there’ll be two noisy and colourful fireworks shows in the evenings over two consecutive days.
Parents are probably very familiar with the insanely catchy nursery rhyme ‘Baby Shark’ by Pinkfong – the South Korean version has more 1.5 billion views on YouTube and there’s even a Baby Shark dance (see below) that we definitely haven’t been doing round the office. The little fish is making its Dubai début for the Eid holiday, with a record-breaking sing-a-long and lots of dancing.
Watch out for roaming entertainers too, who’ll be popping up around the mall every two hours across the Eid holiday from 4pm-10pm. Always showing, but definitely worth a watch is Imagine, a magical 360-degree story that plays out across the Festival Day waterfront every 30 minutes from 7.30pm, using light, fire and water.
Stay tuned to find out exactly when Eid is going to fall and if we’re going to enjoy any time off.
