Another sign that the seasons are changing – one of our favourite outdoor markets is about to pack up for the summer.
The 10th season of Dubai Farmers’ Market on the Terrace ends this weekend (12th and 13th April). Regulars shop the spread of stalls every Friday and Saturday in Business Bay and if you’re not already amongst them, here’s one last chance.
Whether you need veggies, fruit, eggs, honey or other organic goodies, head to Bay Avenue from 8am-1pm (we recommend getting there early to beat the heat). Eat good, feel good – farmers get the space rent-free to sell directly to us and keep all the profits. Prices are lower than the supermarket and you can even have a go at haggling.
If shopping makes you peckish, market organisers, Baker & Spice, sell tasty pastries, sandwiches and cakes. Face painting and arts activities will keep little shoppers amused too.
Enjoy your eats in the park, behind Executive Towers, which is a lovely place to hang out. There are two playgrounds, a jogging track and skatepark. It’s all a short walk from Business Bay Metro Station, or you can park for free in front of the towers for two hours.
