If you have a dream of a vintage boyband coming to Dubai, then wake up baby, because it’s happening.
Quartet Westlife will be on stage at the soon-to-open Coca Cola Arena this summer.
Westlife’s Twenty Tour sees the lads on stage at the massive new gig space in City Walk for one night only on 29th August. Tickets go on sale at ticketing sites from 11am Tuesday (30th April).
With their glory days during the late 90s and 00s, Westlife sold more than 55 million records around the world, with 14 coveted number one spots in the UK. Crooning their way through a mix of self-penned power ballads and popular covers, they provoked many a slow dance with hits like‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘Queen of My Heart.’
See Nicky, Kian, Mark and Shane Filan back together again after a six-year break, with two new singles, ‘Better Man’ and ‘Hello My Love’, written by none other than Ed Sheeran. The band last played Dubai in 2011, shortly before their split, and we’re sure they have plenty of eager fans waiting to see them return.
Expect a nostalgic evenings and plenty of sing-a-longs!
Westlife will be the third act to perform at the region’s largest all-purpose, air-conditioned indoor arena. Comic Russell Peters opens the events space in City Walk on 6th June as part of his Deported World Tour. American rock group Maroon 5’s ‘Red Pill Blues Tour’ will be the second gig to take place there, on 14th June.
