Noodle soup pho less
The 2nd September is Vietnamese National Day, an excellent opportunity to celebrate the great Indochine nation by hoovering up some of the national noodle dish, pho. A new LED light show at the Burj Khalifa is a blast from the past. The world’s tallest tower lights up in September with two fresh performances – ‘Memory Lane,’ by artist Anthony Birland , which “captures the nostalgia of the 1980s and 90s.” OK, now we feel old. ‘Summer Done,’ by artist Karl Taylor Knight, celebrates summer days coming to a close. Eye of the Noodle
Popular noodlists, The Noodle House, are opening a new Asian-flavour joint on the JBR. As part of the opening festivities there are three big nood-to-know announcements. Every 20th customer through the door gets their meal paid for (up to the value of AED 200). All customers get to spin an electronic wheel and win a guaranteed prize and there are also eight tasty new menu items of appetisers, main courses and desserts to try out.

Burger restaurant The Butcher has arrived in Dubai and you can tuck into a patty now. With popular branches in Berlin, Ibiza and now Dubai Marina Walk, the meaty eatery also serves up dishes like ‘The Ugly With Chicken’ and the ‘Codfather’, from AED 37.

Brambles Café has already built a reputation for gourmet grazing, with vegan-friendly options. One of their latest additions to the menu has some seriously sophisticated plant-based yums. The Promenade at Park Hyatt is running a series of ‘master cooking classes’ for those looking to turbocharge their cheffing game. Number one HIIT
Power Cycle in JLT is offering a double Bike & Burn class to those looking for a direct cyclepath to a fitter self.
