How to have a spook-tacular Halloween in Dubai

Whether you’re having a small and scary get together or are heading out in some big-detail and on-fleek outfits – we’ve got some fang-tastic budget-fiendly raaaarggh-commendations for you.

Words by Ipshita Sharma

For those wanting to spend a budget Halloween at home, why not try a potluck delivery dinner party? Dress-up, turn-up and glow-up at a designated location. Everyone orders food from the app of their choice (pizza, Indian, Chinese, burgers (more on those later) and shawarma, especially if we’re invited) and then everyone sits back and enjoys. Get in the true ‘spirit’ by making sure the host doesn’t have to pay.

Wardrobe raiding

For those heading to a friend’s fancy dress party but can’t afford a fancy costume or indeed, any costume at all; piece together and outfit from your wardrobe – inspired by a TV or movie character and just add zombie make-up or plastic vampire teeth. That’s it. Undead Sheldon Cooper, Zombie Archie Andrews, Vampire Edward Cullen, oh wait…

A cheap and easy way to amaze guests is to arrange finger food on fancy boards. It’ll make your nifty-thrifty finger food and canapes look so fancy-schmancy that even the most Countish of Draculas won’t think twice about sinking his/her err… fangs into them!

Or… If you’re heading out or looking for things to do out there…
