We’re so lucky in Dubai to have a great public transport system that’s both cheap and efficient.
Millions of people use the Metro every day, but did you know there are more than 100 bus routes around the city?
Now Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has created this handy map so we can see how all the different methods of public transport come together.
The schematic map uses Spider Digram technology so it’s basically really straightforward to understand and tracks all the bus routes around Dubai.

Main districts of the city are listed in English and Arabic, but in case you don’t know the names of different areas, the map also features handy 3D illustrations of Dubai landmarks.
We spotted the distinctive ‘tents’ of Emirates Golf Club, the flamingos of Ras Al Khor and JBR’s towering skyscrapers – cool!
Each bus route has a different colour and the map includes feeder buses that connect to Metro stations for both the red and green lines, as well as links to marine transport and the tram.
Commuters will find the new map in all of Dubai’s air-conditioned bus stops (that’s one in the picture), as well as its main bus stations.
Maps have also been handed out to hotels, malls and tourist hot spots, as well as 100,000 going to Dubai International Airport.
“The newly designed map was conceived in response to the needs of commuters and to make them happier through availing smooth mobility,” said Mohammed Al Ali, director of planning & business development, at the RTA’s Public Transport Agency.
