People with disabilities and without will run, walk and stroll to raise money for a great cause.
Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Al Barsha needs fundraising to do its good work.
The inaugural Unity Run will do just that and also help unite people of all abilities to support the award-winning centre’s students.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the fun run is part of Dubai’s drive to be a disabled-friendly city by 2020.
Whether you join 7km run or 3km walk, organisers say it will be a “coming together of people, all different ages and abilities at the start line, making memories and all finishing winners.”
And remember: “It’s not about the time it takes, but the fun along the way.”
Adults and young people are invited to join the fun at Al Mamzar Beach from 7am-3pm on Friday, 25th November.
As well as the chance to pull your trainers on and work out, there will also be pop-up shops, places to eat and entertainment at Unity Village.
Entry to the run is AED 100 for youths and AED 165 adults. Register from now until 23rd November at www.platinumlist.net.
