There’s hot and humid weather coming to Dubai this week (sorry!)

If you thought the blistering sun was too hot to handle, this week’s forecast will make you faint.

Words: Vanisha Rajesh

Dubai has been scorching in heat while neighbouring places like Jebel al-Jais have cold, rainy weather making the heat a further unbearable ordeal. However, it is going to be remarkably hot from Sunday 23rd to Thursday 27th July with increased heat, partly cloudy, and more-than-usual humid.

The average temperature is usually 41°C but the maximum could be as high as 44°C, with an all-time high humidity between 65-90 per cent.

The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some seaside and internal areas. There will also be a possible fog formation by Thursday morning, so watch out if you’re driving!

Fortunately, last week Dubai Municipality launched a new campaign where they distributed 1000 umbrellas at various metro stations, parks and beaches, and many other public areas. This is great news for all those who don’t drive and need to commute via the bus, metro, or worse, walk during hours of peak-high temperatures.

Although this weather is enough to make anyone a Debbie-Downer, we’ve got you set for places you can go to blow-off some steam (LITERALLY!)
