Love to mall-hop and shop? Soon there’ll be one more place in Dubai to do it.
Developers Emaa and Meraas Holding have revealed plans about the new mall that’s going to be built on the corner of Al Khail Road and Umm Suqeim Street.
The 11 million square metre development in Dubai Hills Estate will have 750 stores, a 20-screen multiplex cinema and a 65,000 square-foot supermarket. With more than two million square foot of leasable space, we’re bound to find our favourite shops there.
Dubai Hills Mall will be in the heart of a residential development with 4,400 villas and townhouses and 22,000 apartments, set around an 18-hole championship golf course, with some pretty stunning views over Downtown Dubai.
It’s also going to be easy to access, with a direct link to Dubai Metro.
But don’t just take our word for it, take a look at the video below to see what you should expect:
The mall is going to be in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, part of the the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, to establish “a new city within Dubai.”
More unusually, the shopping will also have a outdoor concert area for events and a 1.9 million square feet central park, so it’s sounding like a place where you would definitely spend the whole day.
But ardent shoppers will have little time to wait, as it’s not set to open until 2019.
