Eid Al Adha holidays for workers in the UAE have been announced.
Ministries and other federal authorities will be off from Thursday, 31st August and go back to work on Monday, 4th September, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
While workers in the private sector will enjoy a break from Thursday until Saturday, 2nd September. Work will resume the following day.
As usual, we’ll have loads of cool ideas for things to do over the long weekend, which is going to be extra long for some of us.
Eid Al Adha translates as ‘Feast of the Sacrifice’ and is celebrated is Muslim countries around the world. It is customary to sacrifice a goat or a sheep and the meat is shared between families and those in need.
