If previous campaigns have been successful, you should be well aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
We’ve rounded up a selection of worthy contributors that are passionate about raising both funds and awareness for a condition where early detection is key.
This UAE-wide nail salon has pledged to give 10 per cent of the proceeds of pink retail products to charity partners Pink Caravan.
In addition to putting their money where your nails are, TNS are also promoting #checkyourself campaign, helping to arrange screening through aforementioned rose-coloured partner. Flash your support on a digit with the TNS pink nail art collection, where nails can be prettified for AED 15 each, again with the full amount going to the Pink Caravan.
Every yoga lover needs their towel to collapse into after a tough practice and if yours is due for an upgrade, Dubai-based yoga brand Chanmaya has created a stylish, beautifully-soft, microfibre yoga towel just for the month of October. Priced at AED 100, 50 per cent of the total raised from each butterfly-strewn towel will be donated to Brest Friends.
This worthy support group has partnered with the Al Jalila Foundation, which helps fund local research, champions early breast cancer detection and organises screenings.
Half price screening
Book in for a discounted health check at HealthBay Polyclinic. The health centre in Al Wasl Road is offering 50 per cent off direct payments on mammograms and ultrasounds for breast care over October.
Diagnostic imaging tools and the latest screening techniques should ensure peace of mind, but remember to keep up self-checks at home.

Since 2015 Ford Middle East and Zulekha have gifted more than 2,500 free mammograms to the UAE and once again the two are partnering up to offer free checks throughout October, recognising that early detection is vital in the fight against breast cancer.
