You can now start planning your 2018 getaways with this handy guide to all the scheduled UAE holidays for the next 365 days.
Tomorrow we welcome in a factory-fresh new year. And instead of going with our suggestion, 2017 – 2.0, convention has meant the more traditional ‘2018’ has been widely adopted.
The chart below shows the expected dates for public holidays in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for 2018. The actual dates of the holidays may vary in the Gregorian calendar, as the Islamic special days are dictated by phases of the moon, and must be approved by local sightings.
The holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on the 16th May, 2018. Where as Martyr’s (Commeration) Day, which has a fixed date, will be observed on the 30th November.
National Day celebrations will begin on the 2nd December (yes it is scary thinking about December 2018, but it will be here sooner than we realise).
Remember, federal ministries and government offices will be closed over the public holidays, so you may have to adjust your own scheduling accordingly.
We wish you all the very best for 2018, may it be the most happy, healthy and successful one possible.
