Following on from the hugely successful three-month-long run of Light Up, the Burj Khalifa’s New Year light show, a new display ‘Skyfall’ hits the bulbs of the world’s tallest tower
The new audio-visual spectacular, Skyfall, is set to the emotion-filled bars of the Adele-sung soundtrack to the 2012 James Bond movie of the same name.
It’s a song that’s charged with rousing orchestral strings, dramatic flourishes and the powerful vocals of Brit superstar Adele – appropriately theatrical for the 830 metre lit canvas it will be the backing track to.
We’ve got a sneak peak for you, courtesy of the Burj Khalifa’s own Instagram account:
It’s actually not the first time the song has played a part in proceedings in that particular area of Downtown Dubai. Skyfall has appeared on The Dubai Fountain playlist before, but this time it will have the the full force of the Burj Khalifa behind it, along with the 118 tonnes of light and laser equipment attached to it’s frame.
If you want to catch the performance live and in person, the show timings are:
- Sunday- Wednesday, 8pm
- Thursday and Friday, 10pm
The last date of the show is the 31st March
