Towering columns of water and an energetic neon ballet, visitors to Palm Jumeirah’s new entertainment destination The Pointe, can expect a spectacular, waterfront fountain display as soon as late 2018.
The stunning manmade island archipelago that is Palm Jumeirah is already one of Dubai’s top tourist attractions. With the addition of developer Nakheel’s new project, The Pointe, those reasons to visit just keep piling up. With its prime Palm location, opposite Atlantis, the retail, dining and entertainment complex is will provide some pretty stunning vistas to compliment the luxury outlets contained within.
Nakheel has also confirmed that The Pointe will have its own Palm Monorail station in addition to the plentiful parking (1,600 spaces +).
The contract to build, choreograph and operate the 12,000 square metre area of fountain-scape has been given to the Chinese-based fountain specialists, Beijing Water Design.
We have the animated concept video (below) from the engineering firm that teases a little something of what we can expect. But we can’t wait to see how they integrate the light show with music and to feel that cooling spray on our faces for real.
