Dubai snoozers are invited to the first ever slumber challenge, which will pit the emirate’s best nappers against each other to see who can enjoy the longest, uninterrupted snooze right in the middle of region’s biggest interiors exhibition, INDEX, on the 16th September.

To prove you’re the city’s best napper, all you have to do is summarise your most memorable or bizarre tale of slumber in 150 words on INDEX Dubai before 2nd September.

Four contestants will be selected to compete against one another in a three-hour siesta-off on a special mattresses from DeRUCCI – a luxury furniture and mattresses retail store.

The champion of this dozing challenge will take home a brand new bed matched to their sleep needs, as assessed by DeRUCCI’s digital mattress selecting system.

The autumn edition of the design showcase runs alongside The Hotel Show Dubai, The Leisure Show and the FIM Show at the World Trade Centre from the 16th-18th September.

A research conducted by the University of Michigan in the United States found that 90 per cent of people in the UAE are sleep deprived and that selecting the right mattress for a good quality bed is essential to a peaceful, good night’s sleep.

INDEX, Dubai World Trade Centre, from 10am 16th-18th September. Entry is AED 210 for members of the public and AED 105 for trade.
