A haunting ballad by Lady Gaga joins The Dubai Fountain repertoire.
Gaga’s ‘I’ll Never Love Again’ joins Western and Arabic music for the world-record-breaking display of music, water and light.
Little Monsters will love hearing the song from the recent A Star is Born soundtrack, which starred Gaga as struggling singer Ally. It’s running from now until Valentine’s Day. While the song’s lyrics might speak of a broken heart, we reckon strolling by the Fountain has romance written all over it.
The star, real name Stefani Germanotta, was Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated for her performance. The film itself went on to win eight Oscar nominations.
At 5:27 minutes, it’s the longest song in the Fountain’s collection and the first that the new StrobeStars lighting system will accompany. We’ll see an explosive finale, after a graceful performance of water forming patterns like ribbons in the wind.
Gaga is not the first music star to recently make her Dubai début at the world’s largest choreographed fountain system.
‘The Power’ make history as the first Korean number to play at the dancing water jets show. Massively popular K-Pop band Exo came to Dubai to see the launch of their catchy tune at The Dubai Fountain in 2018.
The mega-hit played through September that year and like the boy band, Lady Gaga is on a limited run, from 7th-14th February. See the show nightly from 8.30pm.
