Need to know if you’re hoping to catch Global Village before it closes for the summer.
Dubai Police have announced that a road leading to the attraction is shut for a short time.
In a tweet, the force said: “The tunnel leading to the Global Village will be temporarily closed and traffic movement will be diverted to Arabian Ranches Bridge.”
What caused the closure? Looks like the inclement weather we’re having could be to blame.
Global Village tweeted out that “the exit coming from Sharjah on Mohammed bin Zayed road is temporarily closed, due to water gathering from a nearby construction site.”
Traffic is being diverted to Global Village’s Abu Dhabi entrance until the site is secured. No word on how long that’s going to take.
Season 24 of Global Village is set to run until 13th April, so there’s still time to catch the 27 pavilions, 160 food outlets, new Carnaval attraction and more.
No wheels? This season four new bus routes run to Global Village – look out for the 102, 103, 104 and 106, which leave from Ittihad Metro Station, Gubaiba Station, Rashidiya Metro Stations.
