We’re counting down to Expo 2020 and now we have details on admission prices.
The six month spectacular will feature 60 live shows every day and they’re expecting more than 25 million people to attend.
So how much do all these good times cost? A single adult day ticket is AED 120, while a three-day pass will set you back AED 260. Visitors can use that on any three days of the 173 day global celebration, FYI.
Children under five, people of determination, and seniors over 65 go free, plus students aged six to 17 and carers pay half price.
What organisers are billing as “a once-in-a-lifetime experience” will have 192 pavilions dedicated to countries from around the world and global cuisine at more than 200 restaurants and diners. Expect the latest trends in food sustainability, green eating and everything from street eats to gourmet treats.
There are also three districts to explore, themed around Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
Celebrations will take place for all the big dates – Diwali, UAE National Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day included.
Add in parades, performances, global music shows and hands-on workshops, and we’ve got ourselves quite the spectacular!
Sanjive Khosla, deputy chief of Sales and Marketing, Expo 2020 Dubai, says: “With less than 550 days to go before the biggest event ever to be held in the Arab region, excitement is building fast. We aim to be a World Expo that is accessible to all and believe the ticket prices and concessions will help us achieve that ambition. We can’t wait to welcome millions of visitors from around the globe, as we make every effort to ensure that our welcome is warm and reflective of the rich Arabic tradition of hospitality.”
International visitors can buy tickets from May through authorised ticket resellers and they’ll go on sale to the public from April 2020. Monthly and season passes will also be available from the end of 2019.
