For the fourth consecutive month, drivers are going to pay more when they fill up on fuel.
The UAE’s fuel pricing committee has announced increases for petrol and diesel from June. Rises of between one and three per cent begin from the first day of the month.
All the new prices are per litre and include VAT:
- Super 98 up to AED 2.53 from AED 2.48
- Special 95 sees the biggest rise, to AED 2.42 from 2.34
- Diesel is up three fils to AED 2.56, from AED 2.53
Prices in May saw a huge jump, with petrol costs rising by about 11 per cent.
If the hike in expenses leaves you considering whether to ditch your car, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced holiday timings for buses, the Metro and Tram, marine transit and public buses. Or save a few fils by parking for free during the Eid al Fitr break.
