Amazon Prime just landed in the UAE

It’s here! Amazon Prime is now available in the UAE offering free delivery on millions of local and international items, unlimited access to Prime Video, Twitch Prime and exclusive member deals.

It’s a service that’s already available in 17 other countries and has more than 100 million customers.

Amazon UAE is rolling it out here just over a month after the souq.com takeover.

The main benefits of Prime are aimed at both online shoppers and fans of film, TV and gaming. Prime members in the UAE get free delivery on local and international items; can ‘Amazon Prime and chill’ with instant access to exclusive and award-winning Amazon Original series (shows like Jack Ryan, Breathe and The Grand Tour); blockbuster movies; video game upgrades with Twitch Prime; exclusive membership deals and more.

How much does it cost?

Unlike Thanos’ 2019 census goals, it really doesn’t cost ‘everything.’ You can set up a free 30 day trial at www.amazon.ae/prime. After that members can enjoy privileges for AED 16 per month or pay an annual fee of AED 140. However, as part of an introductory offer, UAE-based members will pay only AED 12 per month until 31st October 2019

Making the most of the delivery perks

If you need your product quickly (because waiting patiently for a parcel is not a thing) – 90 per cent of UAE Amazon Prime members get free next day delivery on Prime-eligible products from the UAE on any order value, and 50 per cent off same day delivery.

Prime members will also enjoy free delivery in six to nine business days for international orders over AED 100 on five million Prime-eligible products shipped from Amazon US.

It’s a product list that is constantly growing, as the networks expand in the region and new partners come on board.
