Drug smugglers thought they’d come up with a way to confuse Dubai cops.
Criminals used banknotes and contact lenses in an attempt to sneak drugs into Al Qusais Police Station.
The notes were soaked in crystal meth and brought in by a suspect visiting a man in jail.
Luckily offices Corporal Ahmed Issa and Corporal Saleh Alawi were able to foil the attempt, after noticing the would-be smuggler’s suspicious behaviour.
A female being detained there tried to smuggle drugs in her contact lenses case. But an officer noticed it was “unusually heavy.”
Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, presented certificates of appreciation and recognition to the three cops, who were all promoted.
He praised the alertness and devotion of Corporal Ahmed Issa, Corporal Saleh Alawi and policeman Marwan Al Maamari in stopping the smugglers.
