A circular from Dubai Tourism has been sent to hotels and licensed properties requesting that a ‘dry night’ is observed this weekend.
Managers of restaurants and bars have been asked to refrain from selling ‘adult beverages’ between 6.30pm Friday (9th August) and 7.30pm on Saturday (10th August).
Arafat Day falls on Saturday and marks the second day of Haj (the pilgrimage). Mount Arafat is where Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) gave his parting sermon.
